I have a 1990 GT.  It needs a little routine maintenance and restoration.  I have purchased some OEM parts over the years in anticipation of a DIY long long weekens.  So I am looking for an honest mechanic who does not mind some owner supplied parts.  I even have Bosch Hammer!!!  and the car needs atiming belt too.  Also since I live in the rural central Florida, I am partial to a mechanic that will allow a dropoff and pickup and odd hours....like after 5PM or on a weekend.  I will pay extra to cover the profit he is not making on the parts I am supplying.  I would like to prepare my car for a nice rally next year, and I am begging you guys to put one together.....someting like Hoovie's recent GullWing Rally

Central Southwest Florida.......in the boonies
I got the car in 1995 and I first started bith Dave White out of Tampa
They had 2 928 specialists, but my guy unfortunately committed suicide.....
Then I turned to Frank Eibel in Clearwater...he was an old timer and worked on my TR and my 600SL also- he always had one of my cars at his shop and it was at least convenient that I never needed a tow, I simply switched out cars and I never rushed him.
Unfortunately, he sold his business (but remained watchful over the new owners since they had basically bought his name) but then he died of COVID.
Since then I have kept my cars in my air conditioned garage with minimal use.....I have purchased a complete mechanics tool set and even have a lift and a Bosch Hammer.
I think I am over my head.  I was just searching GOOGLE and I found 928GT.COM is in Bayonette Pointe....3 hours away but I know I purchased a bunch of stuff from their North Carolina office shortly after getting my car.  Also I found ScottShop in Sarasota and I did in fact have my car trailered there once after losing the ability to shift gears maybe 25 years ago.  I believe there are new owners but they seemed pretty nice over the phone so I will give them my car next week.  I will post on this forum if there is anything I need to be concerned about.  I am a serious car guy.
