We have designed this site to be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible. However, since it offers many features and functions, we have created this FAQ section to help you get the most out of it.

How do I add my car to the Registry?

First, you need a site account — if you don't have one yet, register or log in here. Once you're logged in, go to 928 Registry → VIN Search, Add, Update Registry from the main menu, or click here. Enter your VIN and search. If your car isn't already in the Registry, you'll see an Add to Registry button — click it and the form opens with your VIN already filled in. Add as much information as you have, then click Save and Close. That's it! Your entry is submitted to the Registry Committee for review and should appear on the site soon.

How do I view the detailed info of a car?

Go to 928 Registry → Browse 928 Registry. Then search for the car you want to view and click the View Details button (the one with the search/magnifying glass icon) on the right side of its row. On smaller mobile/touch screens, just tap the box containing the car's data.

How do I bookmark a car?

Go to 928 Registry → Browse 928 Registry. Then search for the car you want to add to your bookmarks. Next, click the bookmark icon on the right side of the car's row. You will get a confirmation that the car has been added to your bookmarks. You can also bookmark a car the same way from the details view page. When browsing the registry on mobile, the bookmark icon is located in the top-right corner of the car's info card.

How do I remove a car from my bookmarks?

The procedure is the exact opposite of "How do I bookmark a car?". Just click the yellow bookmark icon on the car's row. You will get a confirmation that the car has been removed from your bookmarks.

How can I see my bookmarked car?

Once logged in, click your name in the top-right corner to open the dropdown menu, then select My Bookmarked Cars.

How do I edit my car?

After your entry has been reviewed and posted, you can change it at any time. First, sign in. Then click your name in the top-right corner to open the dropdown menu, and select My Owned Cars. The Registry opens filtered to show only your own cars. Find the car you want to change and click the Edit button on the right side of its row (the one with the pen icon), or tap the Edit button in the top-left corner of the main image when using a mobile device. This opens the same form you used to create the entry — you can change anything here. When you're finished, click Save and Close.

How do I change my main photo?

Follow the same steps as "How do I edit my car?" Once you're on the edit form, go to the Photos tab, delete the existing main photo and upload a new one, then Save and Close.

How do I add more secondary photos?

Follow the same steps as "How do I edit my car?" Go to the Photos tab, Additional Photos section. To add new photos, click Add.., select the photo(s) you want (you can shift-click, ctrl-click, or cmd-click on Mac to select several at once), then wait for the upload to finish before clicking Save and Close.

I bought my car from someone who has already registered it. How can I edit the entry?

Create an account, then contact the Registry Committee Chair with the car's current Registry title and your username. We'll transfer ownership of the entry to you, and you'll be able to edit it. Contact the Registry Committee Chair here.

I've got some information I'd like to add to the 928 Resources section. How do I do that?
