I am a bit late to this one, but I am thinking of you guys. I have had to do that more times than I care to remember and it still brings a tear to my eye no matter which of my pets or how long ago it was that we lost them.

Hang in there and remember your furry friend often!

Just did this last year with one of the best dogs ever. Took a year to clear the air for both of us. Now we have what is shaping up to be a great replacement puppy, although they are never really replaced, just a new addition !

Sorry you had to go through that. But we focus on the fact that they are in a better place now.

We're coming up on that event for our black lab - nearly 14 years old, deaf, blind and arthritic. I've been thru it several times. It's never easy. Better when some acute event takes the decision away from you.
