Hi guys, I just had an idea driving home tonight in my 928. I'm sure most of you saw the 928 watch that was designed and sold on Rennlist recently. Tonight I got to thinking about using the same company and people to come up with a watch face for the 928 clock. Granted this will really only work on OB and GTS owners or LCD guys who want to change their LCD to a clock. I know Jager offers some clocks but I don't really like them anymore than the stock clock. What I'm thinking of is something more like what Bentley did with the Breitling branded clocks in the cars. I think having a watch company make a new face and hands to be placed into the stock clocks would not be that expensive. (or would it). I'd pay $100.00 bucks or maybe more for a high end watch face look in my 928. What do you guys think? In particular is the sandwich dial of the Panerai watches. If the lower layer was translucent and the numbers glowed and hands glowed, it would be really cool IMHO.

I might be interested, but perhaps more interested in a wall clock.

If it was around $100 I could come up with that.

So I cracked open my extra OEM clock and it's really quite simple. I shopped around last night online and seems we can buy any watch face type we want for about 90 bucks. I'm a fan of the aviator Pilot types for our cars. Just remove clock,open, drop in face, close clock. Done. I'm in the process of buying a dial and will report back here.
Here's the type I'm looking at;
