That's not the easiest job. The easiest job is replacing the cap on the hatch release knobs. I'm an expert on these! :D

Rick, those came out of the '84 car and are box stock Can-Can Red inserts. Perfect for this new application!

Rick - do you replace these for the look - less faded, dirty - or do they tend to crack?

Frankly all of my knob centers look grubby. I've already got the console switch overlays but have not yet installed then as I'll be pulling the console.

I was missing one when I bought the car. (It bothered me) so I purchased one. The existing one was worn and a little old looking but OK. As I was waiting for that part and some other parts to show up, I was playing with the existing one to see how it fits in or how you take it out. Of course, I broke that one in half. :rolleyes:

Next time I ordered some parts, I ordered 2, just in case! :D

Now, if the parts are cheap I'm going to buy a couple just to have on hand.
