Are shock absorbers like Bilstein Shocks compatible with old car models like my 1990 Porsche 928? Just curious.

The same type of shock absorber fits all models 928, however there are different types of spring mounts, older 928s are not adjustable in the front (not sure about the rear). Bilstiens come with adjustable spring mounts.
