Bad weather note

Hey, just a note that we are in the path of the super storm, so I may not be checking in Monday or Tuesday if we lose power.

So far the rain is just starting, the storm is meeting a cold front so could be dicey, could be nothing,,, we will see!

Good thing is though, we got a Fall Foliage tour in with the local PCA today, and not a drop of rain, and awesome time and run through the area back roads. More practice with the GoPro! We will see how it goes!
Bill Sanders was there with his 94 GTS, his and mine were the only Sharks out of about 32 or so Porsches.

Seems like Virginia got a good dose of Sandy and it is just getting here in NY/CT area. The CT government has closed down the interstates and has declared a state of emergency. All local business to me are closed, but not me, and gas stations are making a killing. I personally can't get my head around a tropical storm with 40 mph winds being branded as "the largest storm we have ever seen" and they keep comparing it to "the perfect storm"in the media.

Hey guys,,,I'm still here...a full day of rain so far,,,,winds picking up now as I can hear an occasional roar,,,,so now we are waiting to see if the trees fall, if so,,,power outages likely. Rain is not supposed to stop until tomorrow sometime.

Oh yeah we should be good, we have some experience and the gas is ready for the generator if needed

29 year old Shark = in the garage
1 year old Fiat 500 = outside!.... HA, it might blow over.....

As for Bill I do not know, I assumed he was a member....I will ask the next time I see him.

Yep - we were really spared here, we were SW and SE of it which for a Hurricane is about the best you can hope for. Lots of rain but no downed trees or power loss, not even branches down here (in Central Va, No Va not quite as lucky).....but not like NJ and NYC....prayers for those folks.
