3 May - A blast from the past

My car is an '88, made in '87. In many ways, as others have commented, it still seems modern. But a reminder of what the world was like in '88 surfaced yesterday, I found the following plug in the bowels of the console:



It's from a Nokia Mobira phone. According to Wikipedia Mobira was a brand for early mobile phones from Nokia. The plug seems to be dated '86, so based on the timeline the phone was from either a Talkman or a Cityman - see pics of both here .
