Question for a Canadian! was created by Proton_Ice
hi folks,
I order from Canada, used parts for my 928 in United States.
Once the customs charged me fees and other nothing charge at all.
I perceived that no charge is when it written on the box "used car parts."
Is this by chance or there is no tax on the used parts ?
thank you.

If you asking about customs coming into Canada its hit or miss. Most of my packages are 50% no charge and the other 50% charged based on what value the shipper puts on the documents.
Almost never are the packages opened.
hope that helps

It depends on how things are shipped. If I order tires and they are fed ex then I pay duty and tax. If I have them ship is USP then I don't pay anything.

Yes I talk about Canadian customs. The things I ordored was small parcel so delivred by US postage and after canada Post take care of the parcel.
I never used Fedex because my friends told me Fedex use to charge for customs clearence fees around $50 by parcel !!!
USP why not, i will try next time.
Same as you never had open parcel until now.
Thanks.

Hi James,
I am very impressed by your collection of 928.
I have mine since December 2011 and it runs great, so no real work to do on it.
I already want to buy another one for a project, I want to completely dismantled and reassembled in the rule of art.
I'm still looking for a 87-88 or 89 S4
